Flow state theory teaches you self-compassion.


Basically, my advice for me and anyone else reading this out there is:

Don’t think about the difficult and challenging stuff when you’re burnt out, tired and half dead.

Challenges can be exciting, rewarding and invigorating.

But if you’re on the ‘I’m exhausted’ end of your personal spectrum…all your mind and body wants you to do is REST and NOT do stuff that exerts energy you don’t have.

Thinking about challenges ahead will only be daunting and drain whatever energy you already don’t have.

Be good to yourself, think about happy things like fluffy kitties, get some rest and when the challenge comes, you’ll have the energy to deal with it.

Validate your “I can’t deal” mode.
