Don Norman insists that whenever our interaction with an object goes wrong, it’s usually that the object is poorly designed, not because we are incapable.
And I realized it really applies to clothes too.
Why should WE feel bad that clothes look bad on us!? Their job is to make us look good. We should blame the swimsuits for looking bad on us, not blame our body for looking bad in them.
Our clothes should make us feel safe or warm or good looking. Where do they get off making us feel bad? If something looks bad on you, it’s not because something is wrong with you but that that outfit is not designed for you.
Why are we so desperate to make ourselves serve our clothes and make the outfit look good on us. O.o
